Uni opens its doors 

Is your child going off to university soon? Or are you interested in a programme yourself? Come to the open day on Saturday 4 May and attend information sessions, go on a tour of the campus and ask your questions in a one-to-one with a lecturer or student.

New rector University of Antwerp announced

On 1 September, the mandate of Herwig Leirs as the new rector of the University of Antwerp will start. The biologist received just shy of 68 per cent of the votes. ‘We mainly see challenges such as globalisation, sustainability, digitalisation and artificial intelligence as opportunities.’ 

Alumni evening for political communication students

On 28 February 2024, three alumni of the Master's in Political Communication sat down with our students to discuss the programme and the professional path they have taken since then. The alumni who stopped by were:

- Lotte Buijs, digital strategy lead, Cabinet Minister for Energy Tinne Van der       Straeten
- Ken Demol, brand consultant Think BBDO
- Sofie Gebruers, editor of radio sound and podcast VRT NWS
The evening started with a presentation round in which the alumni briefly introduced themselves, after which the floor was opened for questions from students. Many questions were asked by the students, resulting in pleasant and informative conversations. In short: a successful edition of the alumni evening!
