C-MAT keeps climbing in Eduniversal ranking

Excellent news! Our C-MAT - MSc in Maritime/Air Transport Management keeps on climbing in EDUNIVERSAL Orientation - EDUNIVERSAL EEA ranks from place 22 (2019), 17 (2021), 14 (2022) to place 12 (2024) globally for the 'Maritime Transport Management' orientation!

Dennie Lockefeer Chair thesis prize and AINS grant awarded

This year, the thesis prize was awarded to Victor Raeymakers for his groundbreaking work on the challenges of autonomous transport in inland shipping. His research underscores the importance of continuous education and research to propel the inland shipping sector forward.
The Dennie Lockefeer scholarship for the Antwerp Inland Navigation School 2024 at the University of Antwerp - Faculty of Business and Economics was awarded to Denise Beil.

Simon Véronneau visiting professor @ TPR

From 22 April till 3 May, Simon Véronneau (Naval Postgraduate School Monterey) had a visiting professor stay at TPR. Simon lectured on challenges for ports, trends in transportation, and innovation in logistics. He also had meetups with TPR PhD students.

TPR @ AUTOBarge project meeting in Rouen

On 17 and 18 April, the consortium of the MSCA ETN AUTOBarge project met in Rouen for the 5th Networking Wide Event. This European training and research network is working on the future of inland shipping. During these 2 days, the 15 PhD's presented their progress and achievements to the supervisors and the supervisory board meeting completed the event.

TPR hosted successful Antwerp Inland Navigation School

From 22 till 27 April, TPR hosted the 4th edition of its Antwerp Inland Navigation School. An impressive number of 45 participants joined lectures by academics, practitioners and policymakers, and enjoyed site visits to Seafar and Port of Antwerp-Bruges.

Edwin van Hassel and Thierry Vanelslander lectured to visiting Leeds Business School students on 'challenges for seaports', and 'autonomous inland navigation'.
